I moved to New York City in 1990 to pursue my passion for photography. When I came here, the downtown jazz clubs were my playground, where I learned the intimate art of capturing that perfect, tiny fraction of a second that can tell a story miles long.
My work is focused on people in the different moments of their lives, and I am as at home in the studio as I am on location photographing fast-paced live events.
My approach to photography is interactive and hands-on. I approach each shoot as if it were my first. I am tenacious — I don't stop until I have the shot. I have a studio in Carroll Gardens in Brooklyn, but I also shoot on location throughout New York City, upstate New York, the Hamptons, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
