I would like to recommend Vivi Lenoir. She is very good with kids, and also with parents ;-) (I used to hate how I looked on photographs, until I had a photo shoot with her: I looked great, as well as my kids did). My name is Violaine Lenoir, or Vivi for short. I live in Alameda with my husband (also a photographer and Photoshop Ninja) and my son and daughter.
I started my photographic journey in the early 1990’s documenting events and concerts. When I became a mother 16 years ago, I began to focus more on families, babies and children, mainly in a studio setting. I realized the value of creating timeless images to be cherished for a lifetime. Since moving to the Bay Area from New York City seven years ago, I have been incorporating the natural beauty of the Bay Area, especially at the golden hour. First, let's start with an initial consultation to discuss what you have in mind practically and stylistically – what are you looking to get? How can we produce the images that you want? Once we know what you're looking to end up with, I can tailor a package to fit your needs and budget.
Family & Maternity Sessions – $585
These sessions run from 60 to 90 minutes, and I generally do family and maternity portrait sessions on location an hour before sunset. Many people choose to have a nice, posed family portrait, but I also like to capture spontaneous moments, like kids running around and exploring their world. I put people at ease and make the shoot fun. I goof around and get the kids to laugh; I try to create a low-stress atmosphere that the adults can relax in. For maternity sessions, I can provide special dresses that will capture that special time of your life filled with expectations. I’m totally focused on creating an exceptional experience from start to finish.
A week after the session, you will receive an online gallery of about 100 color corrected images to review. I will help you choose the final images to which I will apply my extensive retouching experience. I include at least 50 individually hand retouched high-res digital files, suitable for printing. Additional images can be requested.
In-Home Newborn Sessions – $785
Newborn sessions can take 3+ hours to allow for cute pictures of baby with props, as well as images of baby with family members. I generally shoot at your home within 10 days of birth, usually in the morning. I also have an extensive collection of newborn props, and a wide variety of cute newborn outfits, wraps, hats and headbands.
A week after the session, you will receive an online gallery of about 100 color corrected images to review. I will help you choose the final images to which I will apply my extensive retouching experience. I include at least 50 individually hand retouched high-res digital files, suitable for printing. Additional images can be requested.
Maternity Session / In-Home Newborn Session Combo Package – $1,185
This includes everything from a Family & Maternity Session and everything from an In-Home Newborn Session.
Event Sessions – $350/hour
I can shoot anything from birthday parties to sports events to cocktail receptions. I will shoot on location, with a 2-hour minimum, and will deliver at least 80 edited digital images. Additional images can be requested.
I am based in Alameda, however I am happy to travel anywhere in the Bay Area.
